has been ordered here to carry out the work.
In order to maintain communication whilst this is
being done we propose to lay an additional cable while
the ship is here and I beg now to apply for the necessary
permission to lay down a cable from our cable but at North
Point to that at Hung Hon.

As we may expect the steamer in about two days from
I shall be much obliged if His Excellency would be
so good as to give his decision as soon as convenient, in
order that the vessel may not be detained.

during the repair of your existing Kowloon Cables.
